Shenehom is a friendly home with caring and supportive staff. Every resident has a key worker who will support them to reach their goals and aspirations. We aim for all residents to be at the centre of their care; directing their own personal support in addition to the service in general.
The service strongly believes that every resident has strengths, aspirations and preferences and the person should be at the centre of the process of identifying their needs and making choices about when, how and by who the support will be given. Every resident will draw up a support and person centred plan, with help from their key worker if required. Feedback is continuosly sought to help make further improvements to the service. There is a team of seven full time staff, who are available from 8am to 10.30pm and there is a sleep in worker at night in case of emergency. We also have regular relief workers.
Every resident is registered with a local GP. Residents also receive support from Richmond Royal Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) if required. A CPN from the CMHT acts as a link-worker who provides clinical advice and helps with the smooth running of any medication changes and organises appointments and reviews. Additionally, a Clinical Psychologist supports the team on a monthly basis.
